The places I previously worked include Joe Madden Ford for two years, Village Pontiac and GMC for two years, and Crossroads Chevrolet and Buick for twenty-five years. In my tenure I have won a Buick Salesmaster for ten years, a Chevrolet Legion of Leaders for ten years, and GM Certified Used Car Manager Award top ten years. I have been in Dupage and Kane County for most of my time. I have worked for companies that were owned by four different generations in their family. I love to talk to anybody, love sports, and outdoor activities.

My name is Mike Thornton, I have been in the auto business for 34 years and employed at Gjovik for five years. I have won numerous awards throughout the years. I am married and besides being an automotive salesman, I was a professional musician for 23 years. Known as the "Singing Salesman." I am also an avid golfer, had a hole-in-one. I am also a proud grandfather of six!

"I started with and have been with General Motor's dealerships since 1969. I started as a new car and truck prep technician during high school. I worked up to apprentice and finally into a Journeyman Technician. My specialty was automatic transmissions. I had become a fully General Motors and Master A.S.E Certified technician and retained that status for 25 years. I then moved into service management and have been managing General Motor's service departments since 1981."
